NEW HUNTER AND WOLFE TRACKS

Well, we released our first 3-song EP in mid-February. And now we’ve released two more!!!

They are called Ebb and Flow and From Way Up Here. As you may notice, the two songs are completely different in terms of style. The former being very stripped down and intimate while the latter being big, reverby, and layered. Regardless, I’m REALLY proud of these songs and they are probably my favorite on the album so far. I’m especially proud of the electric guitar tones we captured on From Way Up Here. They sound absolutely beautiffffuullllllllllllll. Now, I guess the only problem is…how do we play it live with just two people??

That in itself is gonna be an issue but I’m sure we’ll work something out. Speaking of which check out our upcoming shows at www.hunterandwolfe.com. We’ve been getting some good turnouts lately and we wanna keep the momentum going! Thank you everyone whose been promoting!

And most importantly, CHECK OUT THE NEW SONGS at www.hunterandwolfe.bandcamp.com. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me at hunterandwolfe@gmail.com. We’ve been getting a bunch of e-mails lately and have really enjoyed all your questions from chord charts to gear to lyrics, etc. etc. We don’t mind! Keep them coming!!!

Everyone should know who Jeff Beck is…

Watch Jeff Beck absolutely own it up in this cover of ‘I Put A Spell On You’. It’s amazing to see him play through those two little Fender amps (Blues Jr.’s?) yet his tone is still absolutely incredible and immediately distinctive. Also love the Leslie sound he gets during the solo…yet I don’t see any pedals on the floor?

Anyways, please check that out. Oh, and also check this out from the Jools Holland show:

 Amazing control and precision.

And just for good measure, check out Norah Jones’ cover too.

Fun show tonight

I’ve been neglecting my Tumblr duties as of late so I just thought I’d give a huuge shoutout to the guys at coLAB. This was their first open mic and it ran beautifully. They’re going to start having these once every month, on the third floor of the building that Kairo Kafe is in. Brandon is the guy who runs it and he’s great to work with. Really good time and definitely want to come back to both watch other artists and also perform.

Speaking of performing, the set tonight went pretty well. Thanks to all the people who came out and stayed through our entire set. We hope to see you all on Saturday, July 23rd where we are playing at Cafe Improv in Princeton. It’s being filmed and shown on T.V. so please come out and applaud really loudly! It should be a full band set hopefully, with mandolins, kaoss pads, uke’s, and other random instruments (maybe even a Jaw Harp? If I can figure out how to use the damn thing….)

Anyways, please e-mail us at hunterandwolfe@gmail.com if you have any questions/comments and most importantly, visit the website at www.hunterandwolfe.com!
